Today I told my friend, Allene, that I feel like everything goes against me when I want to start a diet/new eating plan. For example, tomorrow I have to have a meeting at my house where I am expected to serve wine, cheese, and other goodies. On Tuesday I am invited to a luncheon-which has already been paid for by the hostess, so I definitely can't back out on that. It goes on and on. I thought about starting the diet on Wednesday, but for sure something else will just come up. I am going to try to start tomorrow anyway-will do the best I can on Tuesday- and just hop right back on the Dukan wagon Tuesday night.
I am hoping that by keeping us this blog, I will have to stick to the plan!
Went to Sendiks (our local grocery store) this afternoon. Along with the aforementioned munchies for tomorrow night, I bought eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt (lemon, vanilla and plain), tuna packed in water, salmon, chicken breasts, sirloin steaks, chicken livers and of course, OAT BRAN. Also picked up some more cans of Klarbrun sparking water because I like that more than regular water. For the first time in my life I also bought Splenda for my tea--instead of my usual teaspoon of sugar.
When I got home, I cooked the chicken livers and hard boiled a bunch of eggs for the week.
Tonight is my last hurrah with potatoes for awhile, I guess. For dinner: Marlin on the grill, roasted potatoes and a cucumber salad.
